This work goes through the motion of a panoramic photograph. I chose to explore the
intricacies of a scene with a skyline of some sort. I have always loved taking photos with the
panorama filter on my phone and thought I could do the same thing with my 4x5 analog camera.
I like to see the full picture ‘as it were’ and that’s what I achieved with this image.
Alder is
someone I consider to be my hero. Back in high school, I made a video essay explaining why and
how she was my hero. I look up to Alder in so many ways, how she is so dedicated to pursuing
her dreams, and how caring, smart, and kind she is. I wanted to showcase my sister in such a
light that could be transferred and seen through my photography. I went to her apartment in
Milwaukee on a Saturday afternoon and we hung out and talked about our days and overall
caught up on what was happening in our lives.
